A Trip to Thiruvallikeni Temple After Three Months

A Trip to Thiruvallikeni Temple After Three Months

After a gap of about three months since February 14, 2007 (Valentine's Day), today I made a visit to Thiruvallikeni Sri Parthasarathy Swami temple. I started from home even at about 07:30 hours since the
summer is very hot.  Nevertheless, the three month, I wasn't totally away from temples though. Whenever I could I visited the Dallas Fort Worth temple about 8 miles drive from my place of stay. You can check out one such visit being blogged

There was a bit of crowd in the morning itself but I could leisurely enter the sanctum sanctorums. After a while, I travelled to my bank for a few transactions. I had a meeting scheduled with my friend who is working with an advertising company at Pantheon Plaza, Egmore. So I just travelled there to meet him. We had some quick lunch at Vasantha Bhavan, which used to be our normal lunch hotel during my
tenure in my previous organization. He then started off to his home near Mogappair and I took the train to Guindy.

The very simple outdoor trip itself seems to be very straining considering the peak summer (kathiri) that is frying the city like a chicken in the red hot oven. Hope Nature gives some summer showers to cool down the earth. It is learnt that Kathiri extends from May 4 to May 29 this year.
